MaskOptix: Should You Choose Photochromic Diving Lenses?

MaskOptix: Can You Benefit from Photochromic Diving Lenses?

Photochromic, (or light-responsive lenses) automatically alter their appearance based on ambient sunlight levels. In direct sunlight, the lenses darken to sunglasses. Conversely, In low light conditions, the lenses adjust to clear, to improve light transmittance and restore color correction.

MaskOptix eyeglasses equipped with photochromic lenses revolutionize the scuba experience. Traditionally, the reflection of sunlight on the water, and the intensity of the sun while swimming topside, is often overwhelming, can be dangerous, and can make initiating and completing a dive difficult and uncomfortable.

Photochromic-equipped MaskOptix eyeglasses completely replace sunglasses. When active, they provide sunshade even inside the mask, until the moment of descent, when they fade to clear for maximum underwater visibility.

Upon surfacing at the end of a dive, MaskOptix immediately begin to darken again, to protect the diver and offer sun protection, especially while the eyes adjust from the darkness while diving at depth. Photochromic lenses are available in brown and grey.
